Five Minute Friday: Home

I am a girl with 2 places to call home… two towns where there are communities of people who love me…
I moved away from my hometown a while ago… and established a heart family in the place I lived.

There I had friends who were the people to celebrate occasions with… to mourn and cry with… to fight with and make up.

And now I am back where I started… with my honest to goodness relations… striving to find my groove among relatives I have known my whole life… creating new relationships with people who raised me.

Welcoming new heart family members and creating community… as the bits and pieces intermingle with one another.

So home is where my love is… and that love is definitely divided…

We never stop growing, thank God for love, it makes all that growth possible! 🙂 Beautiful Post Sarah

  2. visiting from Lisa-jo's link up. I like the idea of hometown vs heart family that you've created here. there are so many that have become my 'home' in my heart as i've lived this journey of life. I don't even know what to call them, because they are so much more than friends, but not blood related. I just called them family then i guess 😉 thank you for sharing.

Thanks for posting this, Sarah! I come from the opposite perspective of moving far away from my “home” to start this life of my own. I often miss the people I grew up with, having a chance for my parents and sisters to see my kids grow up. I feel like I mourn that loss in a way. I loved your thoughts on a heart home. Thanks for sharing and also for stopping by my blog! ❤
